Dr.N.Suthanthira Vanitha is Principal in Solamalai College of Engineering, Madurai. She completed her Ph.D. degree in the specialization of Bio-Medical and Embedded Systems in Information and Communication Engineering,Anna University, Chennai,M.E.-Applied Electronics from Madurai Kamaraj University and B.E.-Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madras University.She has 25 years of experience in Teaching, Research and Administration.
She is a Recognized Supervisor of Anna University, Chennai and Supervised 08 Ph.D. Research Scholars and Supervising 02 Ph.D. Research Scholars. She has published 196 Research Publications in International Journal s/Conferences, 13 Patents, 08 Books , 31 Book Chapters, 54 Invited Talks,16 Editorial Advisory Board Member and Reviewer for various International Journals, 27 Academic and Professional Honors, 09 Funds Received, 36 Industry based Projects Guidance,09 NPTEL Online Certification Course, Attended more than 86 Workshops/Seminars/FDPs and Coordinator for various Clubs & Forums.
Her research area of interest includes, Embedded Systems, Biomedical Instrumentation, Electric Vehicle and Renewable Energy Systems. She has established e-Yantra Robotics Lab, IIT-Bombay Funded by MHRD, Wipro Mission 10x Technology Learning Centre, Centre of Excellence for Industrial Automation: Powered by SIEMENS, PCB Design and Fabrication Lab and Embedded System Design and Development. Coordinator for IQAC, NBA,NAAC, Institution Ranking & Awards, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. He is the academic governing council member, convener, steering committee member in industries and member of Board of Studies for various reputed Institutions and Universities. She is a Life Member in IEEE, ISTE and Fellow Member in IE(I) and Chartered Engineer (CEng),.
